After our night out in the club we had to get up early to take the bus to Novgorod and later on to Moscow. Novgorod is one of the oldest cities in Russia. It took us a few hours by bus to get there, so we arrived shortly before noon. Most of us were very tired from the party and also a bit hung over, but at least the weather was great which helped.
First we had a guided tour around the old city of Novgorod. Then we visited a Monastery and had lunch. After lunch we went to an open-air museum of 100-year old wooden houses.
- This kind of church is typical for Novgorod
- Not sure what this building is but it looks like typical Soviet-era architecture
- Tower of the monastery
- Traditional wooden homes
- The signs say „Trattoria“ and „Pizzeria“ in cyrillic letters!
- That’s what McDonald’s looks like in Russia
